Accompanying a dying family member, partner or friend
It takes sensitivity, courage and kindness to accompany someone who is nearing death. We are challenged to be present even though we may feel powerless, to stay when we want to run, to love while loss is just around the corner, and to be fully alive to every moment as time is running out.
In retreat will weave together the sacred wisdom of the Buddhist tradition, her knowledge of hospice and palliative care and her hands-on experience.
Please note - this event is also available Online. The online option is composed of 2-morning sessions, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 Nov from 10 to 12.30 pm (CET)
CONTENT
The event will include talks, discussions, guided meditations and Q&A. The option “Live onsite” at Lérab Ling will contain guided afternoon and evening sessions (which are not offered in the online option) and will allow the space to deepen the experience of the tools learned. We will explore:

How to support the person to discover their inner resources of strength and meaning
How to say good-bye, create a sacred environment and offer spiritual support at the moment of death and after
How to attend to our sadness of loss and stress of caregiving
