When we accompany a dying person, compassion and wisdom become real and practical.
We are challenged to be present even though we may feel powerless: To stay when we want to run, to love while loss is just around the corner, and to be fully alive to every moment as time is running out.
In this session, we will explore the questions:
What can we say or do when nothing can be done?
How can we stay sane, grounded and kind in the midst of chaos, loss and grief?
How can we help a dying person connect with their sources of strength and meaning?
What about unfinished business or challenging family dynamics?
How can we offer our spiritual support at the moment of death and beyond?
The talk is part of the Compassion and Wisdom in Action Conference, November 15-20th, 2021
