The Heart’s Wish-fulfilling Jewel
June Bank Holiday Retreat with Kirsten DeLeo
Friday June 3, 8pm to Monday June 6, 1pm
We are living in times of deep uncertainty and change. How can we face all the challenges without losing hope?
Practising compassion, now more than ever, is critical and practical.
This retreat will explore how we can use all of our experiences, the good ones and also the difficult ones, to awaken our compassionate heart. In this exploration, we will look at key concerns of what it means to live a meaningful and compassionate life:
staying calm during life’s storms
transforming stress, anxiety, negativity or fear
feeling more connected in everything we do
infusing our everyday lives with more clarity and kindness
connecting with others in genuine ways
staying compassionate in a competitive world
The teachings and practices Kirsten will share during this retreat draw from the Tibetan Buddhist teachings. Regardless of where we are on our path or our backgrounds, their timeless wisdom is refreshingly relevant and meaningful and speaks directly to our lived experiences today.
Each day will include short teachings and discussions, sitting and walking meditations, periods of silence, gentle mindfulness movements and time for rest and relaxation.
After the retreat, participants will receive recorded meditations to inspire their compassion practice at home.
Location
The retreat will be held at Dzogchen Beara Buddhist Meditation Centre, West Cork, Ireland.
